ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship.  In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations.  69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows. 

During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Red Box

The Red Box group tables on the University Campus, initiating conversation with students about menstrual health. Donations are collected, which include sanitary pads, tampons, diva cups etc. Red boxes are placed at the residence halls for students to make further donations over the donation periods. These will be donated to homeless shelters for individuals who would otherwise not have access to such products.

About the Millennium Fellow

Victoria Andre is an international student from Johannesburg, South Africa, studying in Boca Raton, Florida. She is currently majoring in Biology with the intention of going to medical school after her undergraduate degree. She hopes to become a surgeon and work for an organization such as or similar to Doctors Without Boarders. Victoria has a specific heart for women and children and hopes to make a large positive impact on the lives of others.
