Millennium Fellowship Project: Earth Beat Project

EarthBeat Project (keeping the earth’s heart beating) is a project pursued by StandUpShoutOut(SUSO) where we seek to impact the environment positively in our capacity as students and young leaders(change agents). We do this by planting trees. Through partnerships we have managed to initiate the project and succesfully planted over 20acres of trees in Kiboga District. The goal is to continue seeking as many opportunities as possible to continue growing as many trees as possible.
Our mode of operation is that we seek not only to plant trees but build leadership skills. We prioritize teamwork and development of skillsets necessary for young leaders to change their communities. We hope that every participant will be a leader of the improving their communities.
Finally we seek to impart a spirit of global goals and commitment to protecting the earth against climate change as per global resolutions such as the Paris Accord. Through our work, we have been recognized and appreciated by the Ugandan Army as well as several other people who felt inspired and promised to indulge in the goals of EarthBeat.
