ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

" I am always interested in social work as it is a profession that historically produces agents of change who are not afraid to challenge antiquated policies, fight for social justice, and make the world a better place. The purpose of Youth for Human Rights International is to teach youth about human rights, specifically the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and inspire them to become valuable advocates for tolerance and peace. Its importance is that it tells people that one cannot call a society a good and a just society until all its citizens enjoy these human rights. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Gender Equality
I went daily to street School where 220 boys were studying but I motivated the people about the importance of girls education. I succeeded in getting my goal and now 220 girls are also studying alongwith the boys
About the Millennium Fellow
Syed Haider Ali Sherazi is a sophomore at National University of Science and Technology, studying Civil Engineering. Syed is currently enrolled in social internship at Majlis-e-Tahafuz-e-Maholityaat, working on a project, of UNDP(United Nations Development Programme), named SELP(Strengthening Electoral and Legislative Process) which is being monitored by ECP(Election Commission of Pakistan).
