Millennium Fellowship Project: PH Indicators Project

The project basically undertakes making PH
Level indicators from flower petals. We realized
that majority of the students at the High
Density,Rural and government schools do not
have adequate science laboratory
equipment. This results in students only being
able to rely on the results stated in textbooks
as they do not carry out experiments. The few
schools that do will only manage to have the
students watch as a whole class as the
teacher carries it out because they have a few
samples.Sadly most students even get to
writing examinations based on this little
reference. We therefore decided to look for a
cheap alternative for one of their apparatus
and realized certain flower petals can be made
use of as indicators and this can be the
beginning of an improvement in their
education.
