ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Pillar of Hope Foundation
The Pillar of Hope Foundation provides educational scholarships to less privileged students inform of stationery and tuition fees.Our main burning desire is to see almost every child out there get the best access to educational facilities to help the development of a quality education in Zimbabwe.The goal is to provide at least 1500 scholarships by 2020 , helping improve access to quality education.We also intent to work with children living in the streets and give them platforms and opportunity to create a better future for themselves.We have already started working with schools from remote rural areas and with more resources coming we intent to expand our impact to more than 20 schools and 5 children's homes.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ian Rushambwa is a senior student at the National University of Science and Technology Zimbabwe.Studying towards the bachelors degree in Banking and Investment management with a major in Investment and financial analysis and management.Ian currently serves as an investment advisory to the Young African Leaders Forum at NUST.
