ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship.  In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations.  69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows. 

During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth perspective

Youth perspective is an initiative for maximizing youth involvement in sustainable development by putting a community of writers tasked with creating quality content that addresses,dissects and provides in depth scholarly study of socio-political and socio-economic problems that are hurdles in journey towards Sustainable Development. This content in the form of studies,features and articles will be hosted on a website with global outreach having aim of approaching global community and concerned international agencies to provide viable solutions. The initiative will also highlight the preexisting and underway projects by governmental and nongovernmental agencies that tackle the problms. Hence overall purpose is to inform and assist the youth by engaging them in dialogue and practice(writing) for a purpose oriented sensitization followed by capacity building.

About the Millennium Fellow

Haleema Sadia is a junior student at the Department of politics and International Relations. She wants to bring a change through her writings for the betterment of society.She is ambitious and passionate towards her goal.She has voluntarily worked for the RAHBAR project of run by The Citizen Foundation.This project had aimed to promote activity based learning in students.
