United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Policy Act Initiative
We empower young people to take action in supporting their governments with implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by effectively participating in the creation of policies that will ensure the achievement of the UN Agenda 2030 and encourage ownership of the SDGs in every country building multi-stakeholder engagement national development agenda and solve global issues.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ezra Yego is a Bachelor of Commerce Student at Strathmore University. He is passionate about the Sustainable Development Goals, public policy, social entrepreneurship, innovation and youth development programming. He is currently a Community Officer at the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Youth -Kenya and a UNICEF Kenya Youth Advocate.
He is an up and coming contributing Opinion Editorial writer having written Op-ed’s relating to Youth participation in Policy making and the Role of men and Boys in closing the gender pay Gap in Kenya and has co-Authored together with other African Youth the UNICEF Africa Youth Advocacy Guide.
He is a keen Africa-watcher and is inspired to nurture the global youth social justice movements to push for building sustainable communities.
He is a committed volunteer at Chalan Foundation, a Member of the World Youth Alliance (WYA) and a mentor at Bridge International Academies.
