ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Raise A Kid
Raise A Kid provides Children of a remote slum in Lagos, Nigeria with elementary education. The team consists of Undergraduate students who share a common view about SDG Goal 4 (Quality Education for all). This semester, the team hopes to recruit more volunteers, impact more kids in the community and seek media partnership as well as sponsorship to drive the conscious need to act sustainably for a better world.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ikoya Adewale is a fourth year student of the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Lagos. He is a young man who believes the SDG's can provide a better society for everyone. This spurred him to volunteer in campus organisations like AIESEC Lagos, the Sustainable Development Advocates (Unilag), the Save a Child - Save the World Charity Outreach, the 500 lives blood donation drive, etc. He is currently a Civil and Environmental Engineering Intern with Encon International Limited - a Civil and Environmental Engineering consultancy firm in Lagos, Nigeria.
