ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship.  In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations.  69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows. 

During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Standpoint

Standpoint is designed to address the disillusionment that comes with facing challenges with the perceived lack of resources to deal solve them. Under this initiative, young people are taught critical thinking skills, soft skills, the value of networking inoederi to solve challenges with also creating a niche for themselves and becoming economically responsibility. Symposiums will be held and practical sessions will be organized to teach people relevant skills and equip them with much needed tools. Symposium will hold at designated times and target audience will be well defined.

About the Millennium Fellow

ARIYO Abayomi Ayo is a sixth year medical student of the University of Ilorin. Abayomi is involved in leadership at various levels and in various capacities.
Abayomi is passionate about making positive impact, capacity development and research communications especially in health care access, financing and management.
