ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: I support Urban farming
I support urban farming is an initiative which helps home owners and people in riverine areas plant crops which means of structures like bags pots nylons etc basically to hold the soil. It helps them have food crops at thier means by the end of the day. it is like horticultural pratice but more of food crops. It is a good means of reducing hunger as it is eco-friendly and reduces global warming. It also reduces the adverse effect of genetically modified food crops . It can be planted by all age bracket and has no selected target.
About the Millennium Fellow
Asante Anita Ibinabo is a 400 level student of the department of plant science and biotechnology. She is a dynamic, visions orientated individual with the love for change , growth and addressing poverty. She is presently the co- director of I support urban farming.
