ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship.  In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations.  69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows. 

During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

" I am so excited because finally there is a platform for me to put into work my passion. As a student I help patients with my stipend which may not be enough anyway but I'm also happy I did. Now as a fellow I can learn more on how to improve human well being.. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: LATTER HARVEST

1.To pay hospital bills for some patients who are not able to pay their bills and as well help them purchase some of their drugs.I have seen patients died because of lack of funds.

2.Reach students in junior and senior secondary schools to improve self esteem and sensitize them about depression and how to help people around them who are depressed.

About the Millennium Fellow

Joy Iyanuoluwapo Igbari is a medical student presently in her fifth year in University of Port Harcourt.She is passionate about helping others especially on issues pertaining to their health. She's a counselor who is interested in helping people build their self esteems.
