United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Workshop and Sensitization on Drug Abuse, Cleanliness and Career Choice
The project was birthed from the obvious need in our community. Social challenges made us look into amount of youth crippled by drug abuse, wrong career choice leading to an increase in crime rate and unemployment.
About the Millennium Fellow
Amachree Nimi Crystal is a 5th year student of Medicine and Surgery in the University of PortHarcourt, Nigeria. Fueled by a drive to end preventable illnesses, her project AMACHREE OKONKWO INITIATIVE hinges on SDG 3 and 4. She believes that educating the public on these issues will go a long way in making a difference.
She is an event planner and CEO to her own planning company, @CRYSTALS_EVENTZ of 10 workers and co founder of her retail fashion business @my_style_closet
She also has an Instagram blog @nimis_lifestyle_blog where she interacts with the public during her free time.
