ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: SOAR (Skating Opportunities for Adolescents, Rising)
SOAR (Skating Opportunities for Adolescents, Rising) is a program giving youth in the wider Philadelphia community an opportunity to learn how to figure skate and the importance of health and wellness. Through hosting on-ice sessions, off-ice conditioning, and workshops about health and wellness, it will give youth a chance to improve their health, confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills by setting goals and planning for their future.
About the Millennium Fellow
Grace is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. She founded SOAR with the hope of bringing the joy that figure skating has brought her to others' lives. She is passionate about equitable health care access, development finance, and enjoys reading and exercising in her free time.
