" I have always had a passion to help others and my community. Having the opportunity to be a Millennium Fellow offers me a chance to be surrounded by people with the same motivations as me, fills me with much enthusiasm. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Queer Love
The project I was working on is a magazine called Queer-Love in which consists of the creation of a magazine made by students whose purpose is to expose all issues and problems regarding the LGBT community and gender. The goal I had envisioned with the [project] magazine is to educate as many people as possible because I believe that the process of deconstructing mental paradigms and adopting new ideas is achieved through education.
The measurable outcome I operated was more in the direction of how many articles I wanted in the magazine so that it would be a complete one and that it would cover a variety of topics. I had proposed about 30 articles as a goal but they ended up being about 13 with a mixture of poems and short stories.
