United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: ‘Thought for Waste’ (TFW)
Thought for Waste (TFW) is a community-based project that focuses on waste management and sustainable agriculture. The project will be focusing on 3’ R waste management system that is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle also 3’R concept in agriculture waste that is Reduce in use of chemical pesticides, Reuse in terms of animal feed Biogas, Recycle the decomposable wastages into compost or vermicomposting. This project will be creating a positive impact through strategies on waste segregation and management. The targeted audience is students in school and colleges along with their parents. Along with knowledge of creating waste segregation, it includes training on composting and vermicomposting through the presentation, videos, and trained personnel. The project will encourage everyone to think for waste before dumping them and grow your food utilizing the waste.
