United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Yemen Electronic Blood Bank
Yemen Electronic Blood Bank aims to promote a culture of blood donation by providing blood donors at the right time and place to increase the amount of blood donors. This will be accomplished by creating an inventory and facilitate the process of communicating with them. The inventory will include a list of those with chronic diseases requiring regular blood transfusion. Using communication technology, this project will create a point of contact between hospitals and blood banks to meet the need of patients to provide blood. The vision of this project to create a blood transfusion process that is simple and encourages more people to donate.
