ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

I truly believe that this will help get the time and the right people to work on my agriculture project to help automate it and try to eradicate hunger and address the climate change problem "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Maisha

Climate Change affecting deeply the agriculture is the problem solved by Maisha. The full usage of technology combining Artificial Intelligence and Mechanic to come up with an innovation in agriculture aiming at increasing the number of harvests and thus farmers' incomes, collecting and analyzing data to combat climate change in Niger and at restoring the image of agriculture as a factor of economic development. Our solution consists of the use of three types of Drones, each with specific functionalities. Maisha is fighting against hunger and climate change. By equipping the farmer with a tailored technology to improve their farming methods and to increase their production quantity by 30%, the social challenge will be overcome. Organic fertilizer made accordingly to the data and analysis got from the drone will be sold to the farmers in order to ensure 99.0% success of our package.

About the Millennium Fellow

Bello Moussa is from Nigera and currently pursuing Computer Science at the African Leadership University in Kigali. He is passionate about technology and want to use tech to make people's lives better and easier especially in Agriculture.
