" I am incredibly honored and excited to be a Millennium Fellow. It is a unique opportunity that will expose me to youth leaders from different backgrounds across the globe. This will help me have a bolder social impact as I work towards my dream of creating a vibrant future for my community and the world as a whole. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sarathi: The Guide

The project aims to transform society by providing the best possible education to the children of my community so that they can become future leaders, breaking the centuries-old chain of child labor in Firozabad's glasswork industries. Students are not only taught online but also helped by local volunteers in exploring different activities: book reading, computer learning, and sports to name a few. As a result, every child, including girls who are discouraged to study further, will have a dream to pursue. The project is ready to create a vibrant future by providing children inclusive and quality education. Presently, the project covers two villages, and Mohit plan to replicate the same model to more villages during the four months of the Millennium Fellowship. Though this would be challenging, its extension to more villages would take his forward in accomplishing his goal of ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for more children.
