" Having the chance to apply a strong passion of mine, music, to serving the people of our world facing some of the most difficult situations life can offer, while bringing joy and happiness to all along the way, is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I look forward to collaborating with a diverse, yet like-minded team, passionate about creating a lifelong impact. I am excited to take my project to a bigger stage and to give back to the community one note at a time. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Music For Healing

Music for Healing seeks to bring live music to the people who need it the most - patients in hospitals, in nursing homes, and in other care facilities throughout our community.

Multiple research studies attest that music has numerous positive effects on the body, such as reducing blood pressure, alleviating stress, improving mood, and boosting the immune system.

The project will bring volunteer musicians each week to various healthcare facilities to provide patients with a fun, soothing and interactive musical performance. The goal is to reach at least 10 different facilities, if not more. By delivering live music to patients of all ages, the team hope to provide them with an enjoyable outlet to learn about and to experience the healing power of music.

The team hopes that through this project, they will be able to change the lonely, cold healthcare environment into one that is filled with warmth and fun tunes, while providing better patient experiences and better healthcare outcomes.
