ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

" I am excited to be a part of the Millennium Fellowship because it not only allows me to connect with diverse groups of people both on campus and nationwide but also allows me to go more in depth about a topic that I am passionate about. Awareness and educating the public about the problem is the first step, even if I have only educated one person about my issue by the completion of this Fellowship, I still consider that a success. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Timeless, Sustainable Fashion
In this day of social media influencers and fast fashion, the negative effects of fast fashion are being overlooked. Timeless, Sustainable fashion will be a digital resource for people to learn about the effects of fast fashion on the economy, environment and our mental health as well as give information about alternative brand options. The goal is to have 100 downloads of this guide by the end of the semester.
About the Millennium Fellow
Prerna Gupta is current ASU senior, set to graduate in December 2020. Combining her passion for Sustainability with her acquired business skills, she hopes to continue making a change.
