Millennium Fellowship Project: NYC Restrooms 4 All

NYCRestrooms4All is a campaign to open private restrooms in NYC businesses for public use. The need for publicly accessible restrooms is felt by millions every week, and most acutely by marginalized populations such as the homeless, those with disabilities, the elderly, and parents who are pregnant or caring for small children. By gaining legislative and popular support for this proposal, the Fellows hope to secure the right to safe and free sanitation for all of New York's residents and visitors.
By the end of the Project, they hope to secure the support of at least two City Council members for their policy proposal, and to build their public brand through a new promotional video, a blog series, and an awareness raising event which will unite several of the most prominent organizations from the sphere of sanitation activism.
