" Education equity is so significant, as it gives individuals in marginalized spaces the confidence, awareness and power to thrive. I look forward to furthering my work towards education access, while engaging with young people who also seek to promote positive social impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: CORTUS Virtual Learning Initiative

Helping Hands of GA Metro is a start up non- profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. The Education Department is currently working to ameliorate education inequality by connecting k-12 students (with a special emphasis on low income communities) to free virtual academic resources and tutoring. The initiative is also striving to connect those in need of GED exam attainment with virtual academic resources without charge.

The program is specifically aiming to impact at least 25-100 students this year, through one- on-one tutoring as well as scheduled virtual learning events (weekly/bi weekly drop in sessions)

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic creating a high need for virtual learning platforms, they find that such high quality resources are more vital now than ever.
