ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Greener Ithaca

The project aims to promote sustainability at Cornell University and the greater Ithaca community. Some measurable goals of the initiate is connecting with 3 local schools to educate students about sustainability and green practices, increasing campus recycling by 20%, and reaching out to 2 local organizations who focus on sustainability to further their cause and provide support.

About the Millennium Fellow

Siyana Popova is a third-year student at Cornell University, double majoring in Applied Economics and Management at the Dyson School and Environmental Sustainability. Originally from Bulgaria, Siyana immigrated to Chicago with family for more opportunities. Siyana is passionate about equal education and sustainability.
