" I am excited to be part of the Millennium Fellowship because this is a great opportunity to improve and make my project reach more families in Honduras. Covid-19 has had a massive impact in the economy of families who live in rural areas of the country, my goal is to help them by providing them with food and daily necessities. I am thrilled to work alongside young people who want to create a positive impact in the world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Iniciativa 19

Many Hondurans generate incomes from their daily labors and activities and are currently struggling to provide food for their families. They are a group of young adults from a small town located west of Honduras named 'Gracias, Lempira'. They are aware of the difficult situation many Honduran families are facing and have set ourselves the mission of raising funds that allows us to deliver food to the most affected families in Gracias and Lepaera, Lempira. It is time they show solidarity with our fellow Hondurans who need it the most. Together with the Fundacion Corazón de Gracia, they have joined efforts to identify families in need of food and send them donations that will help their actual situation.
Each basket is worth L.400 ( approx. USD$ 16.00) and it contains basic basket products. They will distribute the baskets on behalf of all of you and carry a message of hope in these difficult times. They join this huge network of young Honduran adults across the country who are creating social initiatives to help in these times of crisis. They are sure that we, the young people, will be the change in Honduras. They must unite in order to support our city, our neighbors, and our country.
