" I am so excited for the Millennium Fellowship because it will allow me to make a difference using human rights education! I firmly believe human rights education is a necessity, especially in the 21st century, and can't wait to promote this through my project. This sort of program would have been amazing for me to have experienced as a student, and I'm so grateful to be able to give this experience to others through the Fellowship, becoming the change I wish to see and making an impact on my community at the same time. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Creating Humanitarian Leaders of Tomorrow
They will be creating and implementing a human rights curriculum for 5th grade (10-11 year old) students that focuses on various human rights topics through written material and engaging activities. They will be giving a short test to the students before and after they are exposed to the curriculum to see what they have learned, and will be using a z-score to show statistically significant growth. They will also look at some of the work the students do to qualitatively analyze their progress.
