UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT RACHEL RENEE PERKINS, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2020.
Furman University | South Carolina, United States | Advancing SDG 3 & UNAI 4

" I believe that achieving health and well-being is best done when health is analyzed from the broader societal and cultural perspectives at play. Taking part in this Fellowship will allow me to build on this belief by obtaining the perspectives of those with more expertise in other SDGs, and applying those perspectives to advancing health promotion. This Fellowship will give me the opportunity to collaborate and learn from peers who share similar passions, as well as develop skills necessary to succeed in my future goals. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Health Beyond Borders
The project aims to create an interdisciplinary platform for staying up-to-date with current events in Global Health as they pertain to the achievement of good health and well-being. Facilitated entirely online, this project brings together students across various backgrounds to explore how their areas of study influence health of populations worldwide. Through the ‚'subscription' to a website and newsletter, students can remain informed about the ways in which their own area of study, as well as other areas of personal interest, are influencing Global Health without disrupting their busy schedules. Additional online discussions may include large group forums, guest mini- lectures and/or Q and A Sessions' with professors and/or professionals in the community to enhance engagement and connectivity from various perspectives.
