Millennium Fellowship Project: Hive for Humanity Furniture Donation

Hive for Humanity involves collaboration between the Georgia Institute for Technology and Habitat for Humanity. During the move out periods at the end of each semester, we plan to encourage students to donate unwanted furniture items and appliances to Habitat for Humanity, where these items will be sold in their ReStore. The ReStore allows individuals to purchase useful items at discounted prices, and proceeds go towards helping the community. The goal of this project is to reduce carbon emissions related to furniture, as well as reducing furniture waste.
