" The direction followed by a group of people is dependant on the idea of their leader. A good leader leads his people to the right direction while a bad leader leads his people to the wrong direction. One of the reason why my community is struggling with poverty is because of the poor upbringing of the young people by the poor leadership. Being a Millennium Fellow can aid me through my project to fight against this problem and positively impact on the community however small the impact may be. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Life At Heart
The project Life At Heart aims at providing a platform of youth led programs, a forum of dialogue, a network of future leaders and voluntary services including public health of people in remote areas of developing countries. They hope to organize two successive surveys in one of the project villages to assess at least 50 school going children about their interest in education, interview at least 30 adults about their general health knowledge. They will then plan for sharing of the survey results among ourselves to analyse the impact we will be making in the community.
