" I am excited to be part of the Millennium Fellowship because I believe its going to be a stepping stone to nature my set goals and create positive change among my Fellow youths and the community at large. The reason as to why I do the work I do is that I believe I have a legacy that I have to keep among my community and my Fellow youths which motivates me to work hard. Iam working hard to see that peace is restored in Northern Uganda which has been through a series of long wars with victims of inner and outer wounds from the war. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Peace and Justice Project in Northern Uganda

The project will focus on detention units, prisons, refugee settlements and the community at large. Venessa hopes that within August - December, they will have engaged the community at large in knowing and learning about their legal rights as a first step in attaining justice and also how to deal with post war effects so as to create peace within northern Uganda and by creating peace with the past hence hoping for a better future
