ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

" I am delighted to be a Millennium Fellow. This is really a great opportunity for me to network, collaborate and work with like minded individuals, so together, we could make impact that would shoot the African community to the next phase of development it requires. I believe that by educating and creating a total inclusion for children with disabilities, Africa can make an highly prosperous leap. I believe in the future we youths can create for this continent, and I intend on pressing on until I see the change I believe. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Childbloom Initiative
Childbloom Initiative is a community development project that is founded to promote the inclusion and participation of all children living with disabilities in educational trainings and development. Our plan is to achieve this through advocacy and promotion of access to education for all children living with disabilities within the age range of 5 to 15 years. We plan to leverage on social media to create advocacy for this children and also raising network of not less than 50 volunteers, reaching up to 1000 persons through our various social media platforms and also creating several collaborations to support this children. We plan to raise funds and strategize on how we can create a continuous learning system for them amidst this pandemic.
About the Millennium Fellow
Dayo Adesokan is a fourth year student studying Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and the Founder of Childbloom Initiative. He is a young visionary and passionate leader with years of experiences volunteering and engaging directly with vulnerable populations. He works to promote total social inclusion and educational development; creating better livelihood and advancing the sustainable development goals. He is a member of several renowned local and International organizations across the world. His sole life purpose is making impacts and adding values to people.
