UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT SHALOM AYOOLUWA EGBEBI, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2020.
University of Ibadan | Ibadan, Nigeria | Advancing SDG 4 & UNAI 9
" I feel so privileged and excited to be chosen to be among Millennium fellows as this will create a big avenue for me to make sustainable impacts on my society. I feel so pained when I discover that a great number of people in my society don't know what the SDGs are talk less of promoting it. I am very confident that this will help develop my leadership skills, train and get experts advice on how to make sustainable impact on my world. I am happy, I will be part of the change my world needs. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Ray of Hope
Ray of Hope is a foundation which was born in the mind of I and 3 other friends very recently to instill hope in young people like ourselves that wherever we find ourselves, we have to make impact. The project is all about we working together in creating awareness of how important our environmental resources are in my school, community and nation at large. As a student in department of forestry, it is really painful to me to see how so low we think of our forest resources and how we readily take care of it. So from this little medium of mine, I want to try to reach out to youths out there on the great importance of our renewable natural resources. Starting from creating awareness from we the students of my Great Faculty(Renewable Natural Resources in University of Ibadan) as most of us did not choose the course but are doing it because we have no choice, I want to be able to spark up our passions with the help of my other friends who have found great interest in Nature in the need for conservation of what we have around us, also reach out to other students in the University.
