ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Being from third world country like India especially during this Global pandemic is a telltale of the dire need to build large scale long term resilience to reduce suffering of the masses in the years to come "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Campus Climate Collective

The Project's goal is to set up a IIT Madras Climate Study Centre

The IITM Climate Study Center aims to be the nodal academic center dedicated to the long-term interdisciplinary study of climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction, and early warning. The establishment of the center is in response to the urgent need felt in academic, policy, industry, and strategic communities to strengthen the institutional, systemic, and technological capacity-building of the nation (and the world at large) in the face of the imminent threat and reality of climate change.
The team is working towards setting up this Climate Research Centre through multilateral dialogues with Students, Research scholars, Professors, Administration of our educational institution.

About the Millennium Fellow

Sathya priya is pursuing an Integrated masters in Developmental studies at the Indian institute of technology Madras. Her passionate interest in Sustainable Development especially on decoupling of Economic Development from the Ecosystem has driven her interest in Natural resource management and Wildlife Conservation. She is equally passionate in working towards grassroot level building up of Climate Resilience.
