" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it will provide me a great opportunity to work with like minded young people and to learn about their cultures and how they are creating an impact in their respective communities. I firmly believe that Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. By providing education to all, we not only create a better society but it also opens a gateway for millions of other opportunities for them. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Noor
Project Noor is all about imparting quality education to underprivileged children. They not only focus on academic learning but also inculcate moral values in the children of their communities. The Fellows have recently started focusing on adult literacy as well. The volunteers from campus go to field visits every alternative day for two hours wherein the children are taught in open areas. But due to the pandemic, they are shifting their focus on virtual platforms where they will be sharing YouTube lectures with the children and the team will be in constant touch with them through Whatsapp groups.
The Fellows will be positively impacting 450 lives in this duration. They will be trying their utmost best to impart quality education even in the midst of a pandemic.
