" The Millennium Fellowship will guide and mentor me to work systematically towards the advancement of the community that I am working for and spread the cause so that more and more people will be benefited by our program. The situation of the manual scavangers and family upsets and drives me to work towards the betterment of their lives. Literacy is an important tool to eradicate their poverty and give them a better lifestyle. Thus, I voluntarily work for the cause each and every day. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Noor
Project Noor is all about imparting quality education to underprivileged children. They not only focus on academic learning but also inculcate moral values in the children of their communities. The Fellows have recently started focusing on adult literacy as well. The volunteers from campus go to field visits every alternative day for two hours wherein the children are taught in open areas. But due to the pandemic, they are shifting their focus on virtual platforms where they will be sharing YouTube lectures with the children and the team will be in constant touch with them through Whatsapp groups.
The Fellows will be positively impacting 450 lives in this duration. They will be trying their utmost best to impart quality education even in the midst of a pandemic.
