ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

" I am very excited to be a Millennium Fellow as it provides me with an opportunity to generate a positive impact in the society and make this world a better place by working along with my peers and others in the community. I have always voiced concerns for the gender gap and inequality prevalent in the society, and with a firm believe that the seeds of discrimination are sown at a very young age, it is a platform for me to eradicate this problem and uproot gender inequality in the system to give birth to respect and equality for all genders in the minds of young children. I have made a commitment that I shall leave no stone unturned to bring about a visible change. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Samatva
Samavat aims at inculcating gender sensitisation right from primary/elementary school level in order to change the age old conventions of gender roles, and shall work on the lines of gender sensitisation. The program aims to impact at least 15-20 schools in and around Delhi. Inviting psychologists or counselors to deliver their understanding about the gender roles is another milestone.
About the Millennium Fellow
Vanshika Sighroha is an avid orator with a keen interest in reading, writing and travelling. She has always aced her academics along with sincere efforts towards the responsibilities and social work undertaken by her. She is a young woman brimmed with confidence and voices her opinions freely.
