ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

" Currently, in the world some countries have a very low rate of people with a personal finances education, affecting no only to them but also affecting the economy of theirs country, that's why I want to help the people to care about finances because I strongly believe that finance is an important tool to improve the quality of life of a person and make an impact in the economy. Millennium Fellowship Project: FINPERMEX
In the FINPERMEX project, we connect passionate in finance people with those that are starting their finance journey and needs the right information to make good financial decisions but also have the power to generate ideas that could help those less privileged in Mexico by creating a finance culture .
We are going to create activities and a national challenge that incentive the personal finance education, we want to impact in this first semester more than four hundred students, that we believe are going to impact others through the implementation of the ideas they generate in the challenge.
We believe that if more people realize the importance of finances in their life, these will help others to seek a better personal finance education. With the time we want this idea to impact not only Mexico but also to those other countries that need a better personal finance education.
About the Millennium Fellow
Amelia Hernandez is a student of international business at the Tecnologico de Monterrey, that truly believe in the potential of his country, she wants to take the best of Mexico for the world to see it and take the best of the world to Mexico, that's why she is passionate to develop projects to export Mexican products and services.
While she develops these projects she realized the importance of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurs will make the economy to grow and make Mexico be more present, because of this she has made their internships in companies that help entrepreneurs to succeed.
She has been passionate about teaching and helping others, realizing the power of education while she donates their time to teach kids. During his career she has been part of finance workshops and groups, learning the importance of personal finance education in the life of a person, that is why now she wants to help others to develop a finance culture, impacting not only the life of the people but also helping Mexico.
