ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Del Género al Arte “From Gender to Art”

This project aims to use art to create awareness specifically for women and the LGBT+ community by creating inclusion spaces with different activities like art galleries, expositions, storytelling, contests, etc. All these activists have one same objective: tells stories through art with no exceptions.

Our principal objective is to reach equality or minimum to create consciousness and sense with men in order to get them to reflect and be educated little by little untill we achieve a society in which we all feel more secure.

About the Millennium Fellow

Avril Andrea Cazares Cortez is a 21-years-old junior student and current director of the Social Transformation Program of her major's Student Representative Board, as well as the director of the Sustainable Programs of the Sustainability Student Program of the Student Government.
