ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

" I am excited to be part of the Millennium Fellowship because it is an eminent chance for me as a young leader to be empowered and join the populace alumni already changing the world in one way or another in the world.The fact that I will also be interacting with a diverse group of young people from different parts of the world networking and learning from the works they are doing in their countries thrills me.I believe that we the youths got the power to change world as a young generation and this can only happen if we are enlightened by getting educated and this is why am strong advocate for education.Not just education but quality,equity and equality in educational opportunities to all youths.This is my school of thought and what am championing for. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Peers4Peers Digital Initiative

The project entirely involves reaching out to the youths to educate them on the various issues and challenges they face in the society that restrain them from achieving their educational goals to higher levels this include but not limited to;mental health issues,reproductive health,financial issues among others.

About the Millennium Fellow

Fiona Okon'go is a student at Kenyatta University in her final year pursuing a Bachelors degree in Education majoring in chemistry and Biology.In addition, she is passionate about community development especially on youth related issues in the society.
