Kenyatta University | Nairobi, Kenya | Advancing SDG 7 & UNAI 10
" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because this reiterates that the power lies in the youth. This opportunity immerses me into a world of like-minded peers who have a passion in upholding and developing the SDGs while also offering a diverse pool of thoughts and opinions on issues pertaining to different communities. I do this work because as a human race, we are indebted to Mother Nature and this project helps me play my role while spreading awareness thus roping in others to play their crucial parts. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: AlgaeSYS - X Carbon
The project entails utilizing sequestration to help lower the carbon emissions as per IEA's proposals to help achieve low carbon emissions by 2050. This will help mitigate global warming as it works to reduce the carbon foot print. This project seeks to develop SDGs 7 and 13. One of the project goals is to come up with a bioreactor that is easily deployable and hope to impact at least 50+ people in the immediate communities once installed. Another goal includes holding virtual sensitization forums to educate people on the social impact the project hopes to have and how they can take charge and help advance the SDGs.
