ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Breaking Barriers to Improve Education
The project is about providing teaching and learning materials such as desks and maker boards, that are needed to improve the educational system.
The project has started in one school where they have already provided the school with 10 desks. They hope to provide them with about 100 more desks and marker boards that will enhance teaching and learning in the school.
About the Millennium Fellow
Zawi Nasiru Barikisu is her name. She is a third year Geological Engineering student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is passionate on making an impact in her society and as such has taken it as her responsibility to learn and acquire such knowledge to accomplish her dreams.
