ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Awareness on COVID-19 for ORPHANAGE HOMES
The project seeks to create awareness on Covid 19 and provide preventive equipment to some selected orphanage homes in Takoradi,supporting them in this critical time of a global pandemic.
In the end, the project seek to achieving the following;
1. Educate orphanage homes on proper hand washing practices and other preventive measures.
2. Distribution of hand sanitizers and equipment such as tissues, Veronica bucket, liquid soup and nose mask.
The objective of this project is to support these orphanage homes by educating and providing them with equipments that will make them prepared to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
About the Millennium Fellow
Emmanuel Xorla Xatse was born in Apowa in the Western Region, Ghana. He had his basic education at Arthur Fischer Catholic and secondary education at St. Mary's Boys' Senior High school, Apowa, Ghana. Due to his passion for the environmental sustainability, he furthered to study BSc. Natural Resources Management at KNUST, Ghana.
He believes "success is not one's wealth or personal achievement, but the lives touched and transformed positively. This underpins his interest to embark on social impact projects by donations and environmental advocacy.
He is the co-founder of an environmental organization, YECA (Youth Environment Conservational Activist) which aim at environmental protection and sustainability through youth advocacy. He currently volunteers with A Rocha Ghana, a renowned organization in nature conservation.
