" To lead is to serve' - I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I believe this given opportunity will aid me to learn, unlearn, re-learn, gain skills and knowledge and expertise to work towards my advancement of a field in whichever area of expertise I may take up. It will also help to make a difference in the society because it will help train me as both server and a leader and also expose me to a wide variety of network opportunities. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Cedi Initiative

The Cedi Initiative project is centered on Empathy that allows people to donate money starting from Coins relevant to the country's currency at the same time publicing the awareness of SDG 4 which the money will be used in helping less privileged children in and out of schools to enable them further their education. This is because it allows the society to put themselves "in someone else's shoes"‚ to understand other's situation, perceptions and feelings from their point of view. And thus will be able to communicate that understanding back to the other person. Sharing the experience of donating to charity with the society shows that it can make positive changes in the world as visionary global leaders. Sharon looks forward to acquiring at least $400 which will enable the purchase of about 100 books and stationaries.
