" Kindness, a selfless act, requires a brave person to help others without the belief in return profit in today's world. I feel grateful to have been connected to this platform of likeminded people and also learn much from all. I feel excited and nervous at the same time but always more enthusiastic to know I can reach out to much more people in need through this platform! "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project 'Bajho'
Bajho' means 'Barren Land'; in English, symbolically giving the meaning that climate and barren land are interrelated. The initial phase of this project completed with a waste management system in the university (Nepal does not have strict laws that require wastes to be separated before the disposal. However, the students of law realized this problem and thought of voluntarily taking the responsibility of making an efficient waste disposal system.)
In accordance with the guidelines for coronavirus, in this project. they are going to work on analysis of climate change policy starting from Nepal and ending at South Asia. The researched report is set to contain the analysis of policy related to environment and climate change, its analysis, implementation, problems and solution. Report made for Nepal is to be submitted to the Ministry of Environment and report consisting of entire South Asia to SAARC secretariat office in Kathmandu.
If the lockdown eases, the project's major motive of the waste management leading to mitigation of climate crisis will be continued. The project also aims to take it to the Municipal level coordinating with Suryabinayak Municipality at the initial phase. The boundary of the project is set to increase in chronological order.
