United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Quality Education is one of the most talked about issues and also a sector that has been severely impacted by the Corona Pandemic. As a Millennium Fellow, I have an opportunity to work first hand to help uplift the standard of education in Government schools of Nepal. With young enthusiastic leaders from diverse regions working together on various important issues, the future definitely looks brighter. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Quality Education: Covid-19 Risk Assessment
A research-based project that would assess the impact of COVID-19 in providing Quality Education with special reference to government schools. The research would primarily be based on the assessment of the risk that COVID-19 has presented to the government schools towards disseminating quality education. The research is the focus point towards developing a Post-disaster need assessment policy with regards to Quality education. This need assessment would incorporate the elements of the current pandemic to create a policy guideline to bestow quality education (both during and after the situation of a disaster).

Prakriti Khanal is a Law student from Kathmandu, Nepal. She is very passionate about Leadership and learning in general.
