United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Environment Nightmare of Airport Construction
The project aims to submit the report on potential consequences of the construction of the proposed Nijgadh International Airport. It will suggest the government two potential ideas: First, an alternative area to construct the airport which will be feasible from the biodiversity and environment point of view. Second and alternatively, it will suggest to follow the "Greenery Airport concept", which will be a sustainable development approach. Government implementation of this project will directly result in benefits of approximately1500 people who are the going to be displaced and protect biodiversity of forests nearby too.
About the Millennium Fellow
Sagar Baral is a law student engaged in research, writing and policy making. He assist in preparation and execution of strategies. He is also trained law student and researcher. He has done doctrinal and Non-doctrinal research, judicial assessments and analysis on legal and development issues. He is also freelance writer on economic, legal and political issues.
