ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

" I am feeling an immense pleasure and a gust of motivation to have this membership. Really looking forward to working with diverse group of students from around the globe. Through this Fellowship I will be able to work with my alike natured people coming from a diverse culture and different parts of the world. My project that aims towards climate action, has been my interest and a process of learning for my academic career as well. I am really thankful to be a part of such an amazing initiative. Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Bajho

Project Bajho (which means barren land) will be incorporating SDG 13-Climate Action. The aim of the project is to analyse the climate-change laws and policies of South Asian countries.
The researched report is set to contain the analysis of policy related to environment and climate change, its implementation, problems, and solutions. The report made for Nepal is to be submitted to the Ministry of Forest and Environment and a report consisting of entire South Asian countries to the SAARC secretariat office in Kathmandu.

About the Millennium Fellow

Unnati is a first year undergrad student of law with a deep interest in social change, climate and biodiversity. Unnati believes that we have a choice and we can invest in a sustainable future being an individual change and that "Together we can".
