ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

This is a perfect platform for young people coming together to share ideas aimed at achieveing the Sustainable Development Goals. I look forarding to gaining more knowledge about promoting better health, wellbeing and provision of clean water for communities in my country. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: AskTheDoctor

The project is a mobile platform called AskTheDoctor and it aims at catering for the health of people in remote areas of Uganda by extending services like phone consultations with doctors etc

The main objects of the semester;
1. Host informative and training sessions aimed at teaching people in society how to use the platform.
2. Educate them on significance of having interactions with medical workers about symptoms of a disease before treatment.
3. Extend mobile platform services to the people.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nakalawa Suzan is a second year undergraduate student pursing a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental health sciences at Makerere University. She is a self-motivated and hardworking individual who is very focused at achieving a successful career in public health
