ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Fortitude
Fortitude is a Mental Health club which aims to work on the Mental Health SDG put forward by the United Nations. It's an initiative by the team that works on mental health awareness and support.
This mental health group aims not just to be a support group, but also to serve as a safe space where like-minded students can spearhead activities and discussions that combat stigma. It serves several purposes, right from promoting mental health awareness and education within the college, to allowing students to lead projects based on mental health. It also provides an ongoing space for students to have a stigma-free place to discuss mental health and builds a bridge between community mental health resources and our college community. Talking about mental health in public still happens to be frowned upon, especially in a country like India!
About the Millennium Fellow
I am Arpith S from Govt.Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara, Kochi, Kerala. I'm passionate about graphic designing and have been the design head for Under25MEC, IEEEMECSB, and IEDCMEC. I've also been entrusted with the responsibility of being the Creative Organizer of TedXMEC. The class representative on my class happens to be my duty as well and I have been an exemplary example for my classmates and for other class representatives as well. I am also very interested in bringing about a positive change in and around me in as many ways as possible. I've been really keen about psychology for a long time now and I intend to use my time and energy to help everyone I can using the Millennium Fellowship platform.
