" I am very excited to be a part of the Millennium Fellowship because I am very passionate about gender equality in healthcare. As a woman of color and someone who wants to pursue a career in medicine, I would like to bring awareness to these issues across campus. I am also very excited to meet other fellows and become educated on various topics and work together to make a difference. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: GenCare (Gender Inequality in Healthcare)

GenCare stands for Gender Inequality in Healthcare. The goal is to promote awareness of the gender inequality in the healthcare industry through guest lectures, patient testimonies and information sessions. We would like to discuss the disparity between patient care, wages and leadership opportunities. They plan to create events on campus in collaboration with other clubs as well. They will get into contact with their fellow healthcare physicians to come speak to students more about this issue. They can use social media to promote their events and bring more students from their campus to attend.
