ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

" Millennium Fellowship will be a golden opportunity for me to interact with the young minds belonging to different nations, speaking different languages, having different colors but working on the same idea, to serve humanity. I want to work as a Millennium Fellow to improve my leadership, communication skills, confidence, decision-making capabilities and to learn from world-class community training and connections. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Aas

Aas is basically an Urdu term which means Hope/wish. In project Aas, they try to train the people especially those who are unemployed because of a sudden crisis, women who were the victims of the acid attack, or any other domestic violence and physically paralyzed people. The aim is to motivate them to serve not only their own families but also the community around them. To achieve this goal, they try their best to train them to learn advanced skills in many areas of life like IT, fashion, cosmetology,home-based teaching, freelance writing, cooking, and many more. In order to provide them with different types of machines and tools to run their jobs or businesses, they collect funds and donations through different social campaigns, Fundraising events, Bake & Sale and from many other ways.

About the Millennium Fellow

Masood Tariq is a Junior year student of Computer Science at National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan. He is a good communicator with diverse background skills. His resilience and agility make him unique. He has multiple endeavors in debates and public speaking. He is a motivated team player that makes him an individual to work with. The best thing about Masood is that he will always be there for you whenever you need help. He is versatile, caring, and loving. He believes in hard work and the integrity of both work and professionalism. His ability to deal with a crisis and come up with new ways to achieve results are always an inspiration. He wants to pursue his career in the IT industry after completing his education.
